After refurbishing their guest En-suite in July, we were asked to design an attractive and relaxing family bathroom with an extra splash of individuality.
The original style direction involved marble, hexagons and navy blue (in the early plan to have a bespoke Shaker furniture unit).
After many design stages, a lot of searching, sourcing and late evening emails, we arrived at the right design. For the unit Gill wanted something very different with a number of drawers, so we embarked on the uncertain prospect of modifying an imported chest of drawers in a rustic style, finding just the light basin and having a quartz counter-top made to size. The unit as always going to have the handles changed and be hand-painted in dark blue, but they liked the texture of the wood so much, they decided to keep it as it is!
A large minimalist Crosswater shower enclosure on stepped linear wet-floor, luxury freestanding bathroom by Saneux, brassware by Crosswater and tiles by Mandarin Stone were the final components that brought this bathroom together.
Of course not forgetting the customer’s installers Tom and Krystoff as well as Gill’s eye for combining the blush mosaic with marble textures. We can’t take credit for that :-)
