Concrete and Nickel
Our customers were keen to create a unique look for their bathroom with an industrial mix and warm deep tones. We have the pleasure of being part of a team who can create this room with an eclectic mix of new and old....except everything is new! The bespoke concrete counter, splitface stone basin, character styled designer nickel brassware, free-standing bath and the delicately textured wall tiles which offer an excellent grip in both wet and dry conditions all add to this dark sophisticated timeless feel.
At SBC we enjoy interesting projects, something different and of course we never shy away from a challenge. Working with popular concrete materials, harmonising the tiles and other components, it needed some careful thought and committed customers to bring it together.
Allied Installers have done an incredible job, mitering the tiles to achieve the perfect outward corners, and experimenting, (with additional research by Jen and Paul!) to create a large concrete countertop with block concrete shelves built into recesses.
The tiles which are called 'Hessian Grigio' and the beautiful 'Silver Split-face Lunar basin' are both from Mandarin Stone. The classic free-standing bath has been teamed with the Crosswater Belgravia Nickel Range. Nickel is another material finish reaching high levels of popularity at the moment. Something you can truly appreciate when you see it.
The concrete is being set for a while, so when the mirror, stone basin and accessories are fitted, we look forward to seeing this bathroom as a contemporary warm cosy retreat.
