Making wonders of small bathrooms...
Andy and Nida had the quaintest Victorian cottage with only a recently built bathroom. Built by the builders who refurbished the whole property not long ago.
The problem was that where they'd had the sunken bath replaced with a shower tray, several attempts to patch and alter this bathroom could not stop it leaking and the shower area simply didn't work. There was no decent head head height for the shower outlets as well, so they took the decision to have it taken out and done properly.
This gave them the opportunity to create a sunken wet-floor and refurbish the whole bathroom. They retained the existing basin and wash-station structure, but the installers successfully managed to create a cunning stepped entry to the shower area and to do a superb job of re-tiling it in Limestone and Marble.
Sometimes bathrooms like this may look simple, but they require careful planning to get things to fit under the pitched ceiling. It also helps when you have a customer happy to be patient while the tiler spent days carving and mitering the tiles to make it all fit perfectly.
