The Solex design is another design classic, in the same way that the ‘metro’ tap (pure tubular design of Jtp’s Vos, Crosswater’s MPro and Saneux’s Cos) fits so many designs so well as a timeless classic.
The Solex works in a similar way with great versatility, but the crosshead tap handle provides that bit of extra character in a classic contemporary eclectic way. It works for both modes and mid-century or art deco designs in equal measure and has a vast number of product options in the range to complete your bathroom.
Integrated basins - check if it has a 1 tap-hole option only, or if there is a 3 tap-hole option (rare).
Countertop basins - for these (if there is no tap-hole on the basin/bowl) then you will need to have the wall-mounted option.
Baths - This range has a matching bath tap, but you can also opt for the ‘tapless-bath-filler’ concept where you choose a shower valve to operate both the bath and the shower handset. The water fills via a special filler-waste and then the bath tap is not required. This provides safer thermostatically controlled bath-filling and an easier to clean format. The valve/control can also often be positioned so that it’s easier to reach vs a conventional deck-mounted bath tap.
Showers - There are both single and multiple-outlet valve/controls available and you can choose either a wall-mounted or ceiling mounted large ‘rain-head’ and/or an adjustable riser kit, or handset on bracket with no rail.
